A Fuzzy Dynamic Inoperability Input- Output Model for Strategic Risk Management in Global Production Networks

چکیده
Strategic decision making in Global Production Networks (GPNs) is quite challenging, especially due to the unavailability of precise quantitative knowledge, variety of relevant risk factors that need to be considered and the interdependencies that can exist between multiple partners across the globe. In this paper, a risk evaluation method for GPNs based on a novel Fuzzy Dynamic Inoperability Input Output Model (Fuzzy DIIM) is proposed. A fuzzy multi-criteria approach is developed to determine interdependencies between nodes in a GPN using experts’ knowledge. An efficient and accurate method based on fuzzy interval calculus in the Fuzzy DIIM is proposed. The risk evaluation method takes into account various risk scenarios relevant to the GPN and likelihoods of their occurrences. A 1 Corresponding author. It is demonstrated how it can be used for strategic decision making by evaluating alternative GPNs.

Managing the risk of terrorism to interdependent infrastructure systems through the dynamic inoperability input-output model
This paper discusses the Dynamic Input–Output Inoperability Model (DIIM), which is an extension to the static Inoperability Input–Output Model (IIM). Based on Wassily Leontief’s Input–Output (I–O) model, both the IIM and the DIIM analyze how the system of interdependent sectors can be adversely affected as a result of initial perturbations to other sectors through willful attacks or natural dis...

متن کاملRisk Analysis in E-commerce via Fuzzy Logic
This paper describes the development of a fuzzy decision support system (FDSS) for the assessment of risk in E-commerce (EC) development. A Web-based prototype FDSS is suggested to assist EC project managers in identifying potential EC risk factors and the corresponding project risks. A risk analysis model for EC development using a fuzzy set approach is proposed and incorporated into the FDSS....
متن کاملOrganizational Risk Assessment using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System
In this paper a fuzzy model based on Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is introduced for calculating the level of risk in managerial problems. In this model, affecting factors on the level of risk are considered as inputs and the level of risk as the output. Using the fuzzy model, the risky condition changes smoothly in a fuzzy environment as it is the case in the real world; while ...
